The Mind-Body Approach
Directions: For this Discussion Board, please respond to one of the questions. Then, respond to two of your classmates who answered a different question. You do not need to have a cover page for part one just the discussion board, references and to comment on 2 classmates (see other discussions and comments for examples.)
- Explain how spirituality contributes to the wellness paradigm. What are some examples of how a developed spirituality can impact the other three tenets of wellness?
- Can science and spirituality co-exist to develop a higher level of health? Why or why not? Be sure to include at least one outside source as reference. How could this co-existence be used to help clients improve their well-being?
PART 2: ASSIGNMENT
Create a wellness paradigm for a prospective future client similar to the one modeled on page 36 of Health of the Human Spirit (Pie chart form). Then, in a 2-page paper, explain why the wellness paradigm you created is a valuable spirituality tool for the client as well as for you yourself as a wellness professional. Be sure to describe the interconnection of the tenets. Be sure to include at least one outside source along with a references section per APA guidelines at the end of your paper to support your sentiments.
