Currently, our world is facing a global pandemic, and individuals’ self-interests are pitted against the common good. People have been asked to socially distance or self-isolate. Moreover, if people have COVID-19, they may be asked to quarantine and not leave their home.
Using the due process and crime control model paradigm, develop and describe a potential due process model policy recommendation for COVID-19 to reduce the transmission of the virus. Then, develop and describe a potential crime control model policy recommendation for COVID-19 to reduce transmission. Can you think of times when you might want to apply discretion in your policy?
