National Center for Health Statistics (NCHS), the principal vital and health statistics agency for the US, recently published “Health, United States, 2017” which is an annual report on trends in health statistics (Do not use the “Behavioral Health Report” under “Related Sites”). The report, located at http://www.cdc.gov/nchs/hus.htm, consists of tables that illustrates major trends in the health of Americans.
Search within the “Data Finder” section of page for a single topic of interest. Within that topic identify two “tables”. Explain why you selected that topic and the two tables. Additionally, provide a brief written description of the information depicted in the tables (i.e., title of tables, information/data found on tables, key findings, and source of data), potential impacts of information learned, and how the information may be of use to you as a social work practitioner. Lastly, tell me what you found particularly interesting about this topic and what you found to be thought provoking?
