The study focuses on employees- what motivates the employees regarding Maslow’s hierarchy. To hypothesis on the subject, the key element shall be considered in the research where the participant provides reliable information. Company X is selected to provide about a hundred individuals to participate in the study. During this course, the participant is required to fill a questionnaire where it shall take a few minutes or an hour. Moreover, the individual involved are diverse- in the context of age, race, marital status, position in the workplace, and gender perhaps that would differ in evaluating the responses according to Maslow’s theory. On that note, each is distinct, people view things differently depending on highlighted aspects above and temperance.
As mentioned in the prior paragraph, the number of people involved in the study is a hundred. However, it is important to have a critical selection. In this case, there shall be four groups where they shall be divided according to ages; 18-25, 26-35, 36-45, and 46-above. At glace, these ages give an impression on goal and respective cultures. Besides, race, sex, job position is inclusive in the study for a reason. Moreover, selecting the individual is required since it is impossible to pick randomly. After company X grants permission, it approaches the employee and requests for the volunteer during the study. Intending for a positive response from the employees, a criterion is used according to mentioned factors to get a 100 individuals for the study. The use of stratified sampling technique aims to get rid of bias finding at the end of the research. Moreover, self-oriented goals in an individual do differ; and therefore, it would be necessary to have a diversified sampling technique.
Procedure
To get the information required in the study requires an objective procedure that does illustrate every detail necessary. The recruitment process would be simple and clear to the participants. As described in the prior paragraphs, consent from the people individual involved would follow the protocol; approaching the employer or rather company X then asking willingly workers to come on the board and be a part of the study (Roulet, 2017). Thereafter, a selection would be made by the team and then appreciate to anyone who volunteered for the study. In that case, the participant would have guaranteed consent since its requirement for any study.
Since all the participants are workers in the organization; the required ages are above 18years, which represent an adult. In the due date for the study, the participant is collected in one location where the exercise takes place. A brief orientation is done to explain the purpose of the study and expectations. Moreover, the participants are required to have any suggestions based on the study as additional information such as follow- up interviews. When the briefing ends, the questionnaires are delivered to every individual to fill it as the instruction highlights. The exercise would take less than half-an-hour to complete. When everything is done, a random interview of at least five people will be done to evaluate the response and expectation of the job. To ensure that no mistake happens, just a before picking participant for an interview, the participant encouraged to go through the paper confirming is the paper is filled as required.
Measures/Instrumentation
All the participants in the study involved are informed on every important aspect to minimize errors that would occur in the process of collecting the data. Here are the elements recorded to give valid data in percentiles and respondents. The individuals motivated by promotion in the workplace that would suggest the role of new bigger position. That included other merits such as health insurance coverage and all sorts of all. A percentile of the employees who are contented with their job position indicating that many workers yearned for a better work position than that. Besides, the study provides the information of employees who were paid much; if they wished the company would make more profit gradually in the following years evaluating wishes on salaries. On that note, they would indicate the merits they would like such as free vocation among others. Moreover, individuals should indicate the feeling on being on working closer to the management.
Recording the population comfortable with the normal working hours and any extension required over-time payment. Besides, payment differed, performance at work was also rewarded; and therefore, a certain of the employees put an extra effort on that. The questionnaire indicate their respond if they were comfortable and any suggestion (Lăzăroiu, 2015). Many of the employees would not perhaps be concerned with the position or rather working for company X. A percentile indicating what they would like to be motivated through salary and allowances or either. In the first phase; 18-25 what indicate if they were content with their position and what they would want in future regarding work in the same firm. That would show the reason for the promotion was substantially such as paying a fee in pursuing a degree. The age between 26-45
would show what they wished to support their family financially. In contrast, the brackets of age 46 and above, would be evaluated on the need to have the health insurance covered by the employer, while the other percentile salary and saving would cover that.
An article by Lynn De Vito and other authors, they conducted a study on The needs theory: motivation of employees with Maslow theory published by IJAMEE. (De Vito, 2018). The study took place in a higher learning institution to find out the motivation at the workplace. The author suggests that one of the key elements to achieve motivation and increase productivity is through providing a conducive environment. Moreover, they discuss motivational theories and how they can be applied in the Universities and other institutions as such. In six employees who were interviewed, they showed that while employees are happy with their senior officials, they are motivated to work hard in their respective responsibility. Moreover, a good number wished to have better compensation and opportunities where they could develop themselves.
In the above study gives a glimpse of the expected finding in this study. Moreover, it would give a better understanding of the subject and hypothesis and discuss the limitation that impacts productivity in the work. It is possible to give a comparative analysis of the two studies and would give recommendations on employee’s motivation aspects. An analytic approach of the findings would give suggestions on evidence-based intervention. In that case, it would be effective and efficient if the employers consider having the motivation to employees who are positively involved in decision making. Moreover, a gradual increase in salary would help a lot and including the extra-time. The senior official should have a platform where they socialize to increase the level of relationship. Also, the firm ought to have a performance evaluation strategy, which could be reflected in the payment and reasonable promotion to the workers.
Data Analysis Plan
In the Data plan, the final stage and crucial one, provides validity of the studies carried. In that case, the intended software used is Sinsense. The merits are that it is high recommendable and has a higher rating for the best used in analyzing studies (DeSimone, 2015). Therefore, it is a convenient software for this study depicting reliability and credibility. Moreover, the data opt for cleaning and screening before reviewing and publishing. In such a case, that gets rid of the fault and errors that would be in the study. The data is being diagnosed where mistakes are identified then proceeding to edit. Therefore, the data is meaning, productive, and makes an impact on business through motivational strategies. The process of data cleaning and screening ensures that the research question is meet as highlighted below.
(a) The element that is crucial in motivating the worker to perform well in respective duties.
(b) How Maslow hierarchy theory makes an impact on works through inspiring
(c) Effects of motivation on organization productivity
(d) How works contentment influence organization
(e) How the theory affects the firm in inspiring the employees in the work
The analytic plan would use a t-test to show how the data would be valid and elevates to the hypothesis of the study. The final part of the finding would give suggestions on ways to influence both the employer and workers to change attitude and strategies to motivate the employees. In that case, the finding would be interpreted in percentile.
