Executive Summary
As an executive healthcare leader in practice, you need to be able to write executive summaries to present information and potentially effect change in an organization or practice setting.
For this Assignment, you will create 2–3 pages in the form of an executive summary to analyze the use of nursing informatics standards, information regulations, and the science of nursing informatics to improve health care as an overview of the concepts. Then you will use a specific example of these concepts affecting a particular type of patient care in a practice setting of your choice.
To develop your ideas for this Assignment, think about your own present or prior practice setting or organization and what could be or is enhanced with the use of nursing informatics as a science and why this is important to patient outcomes. Some examples could be the use of interprofessional communication with the electronic healthcare record, creating HIPAA-compliant information, or medication reconciliation.

- The length of the executive summary is 2–3 pages, not including the title and reference pages.
- Use APA formatting with a title page, introductory paragraph, running head, title on the first page of text, appropriate headings, conclusion, double-spaced lines, and scholarly sources as parenthetical citations and a reference list.
