There are different kinds of cloud technologies (e.g., the public cloud, the private cloud, and a hybrid mix of cloud networks). In this assignment, you will examine the different types, look at ways to manage and implement them for your network, and make recommendations on their usefulness.

Assignment Guidelines

  • List and describe Software as a Service, Platform as a Service, and Infrastructure as a Service options, and explain the reason why each would be used by an organization.
  • List and describe the differences between open, private, and hybrid cloud topologies, and be sure to consider emerging technologies that could impact these cloud topologies.
  • Explain some of the most common issues of the cloud computing ecosystem.
  • Give a recommendation on the type of cloud an organization should consider if it is looking to add new applications for its end users to utilize in managing customers while also trying to reduce the short-term costs of acquiring new technology and the long-term costs of supporting technology.
