Write a personal narrative that explores one of the below options. The goal of this essay is to explore your narrative voice through the telling of an experience that you’ve encountered in your life. For example, you could write an essay about coming to terms with the loss of a grandparent. You could write about winning the state championship as the underdog. You could write about an international adventure that will stick with you for a lifetime. The goal is to delve deep into the details of these experiences to provide the reader with an opportunity to see it for themselves. Keep in mind that you are writing for a public audience, not for personal therapy.

Option 2

Write a personal narrative that explores the happiest you’ve ever been in your life. For this essay, you will need to provide the scene, characterization, and emotions that encompass this experience.

Your essay should be two to three pages, double-spaced, with 12 point Times New Roman font and one-inch margins. Use MLA formatting and citations as needed.

Use the concepts learned in class, especially the concept of ecology, to explain the issue and how you would envisage solutions. You may certainly interview persons involved in the resolution of the ecological issue and specify if you yourself are also helping in finding a solution. Specify as well if there are obstacles or resistance to resolving the issue.
