Business Finance
Hello, this is about writing an experience as a volunteer as mathCEO. MathCEO is that teaching 5-6 middle school students who speaking Spanish as their mother language, working with another mentor to teach them some interesting math problems, for example the question is like four ducks have the same weight as two turtles and one giraffe equals to 3 turtles, then how many ducks equals to two giraffes.
you will gain teaching experience, while contributing to a very honorable cause. Math CEO partners with 4 underserved middle schools in OC to provide math enrichment. foster positive attitudes towards mathematics, and encourage the students to consider the prospect of a college education. Not just a math tutor, you will be a mentor for the kids, and a role model. Students find the experience of volunteering for Math CEO very rewarding, and they enjoy feeling part of a friendly community of mentors. If you are planning to volunteer for Math CEO, I would highly encourage you to enroll in Math 192, and get an official recognition of your efforts in your transcripts. Also, having some teaching experience may turn our to be very useful later in your career (both in graduate school and on the job market).
