I NEED A GOOD COMMENT BASED IN THIS ARGUMENT TO POST IN MY 2023

I NEED A GOOD COMMENT BASED IN THIS ARGUMENT TO POST IN MY ONLINE CLASS.

I am currently treating a child that is immobile.  I provide care to her in multiple ways, but one specific way is ulcer prevention.  When I first started treating her, she had a stage 1 ulcer.  Treatment included wound care with antiseptics.  When I treated her, I was given a prescription and I investigated what the benefits of this ointment was on ulcers. I always like to inform myself and make sure the doctor has prescribed what is best and most effective for my patients.  An example of implementing EBD and its effects on ulcers, would be the article Antibiotics and antiseptics for pressure ulcers by Christie, Dumville, Goto, Tanner, Moore, and Norman. When applying EBP practice, I can consider whether to use antiseptics and/or antimicrobial treatment. In doing so, I research the effects and outcome on both types of treatments.  Per Christie, Dumville, Goto, Tanner, Moore, and Norman (2016) when comparing both of ointments on ulcers, “There was no consistent evidence of a benefit to using any particular antimicrobial treatment for pressure ulcers. However, there was some limited evidence that more ulcers healed when treated with some types of alternative dressings without antimicrobial properties than when treated with povidone iodine”. This research can be used by myself and nurses to treat ulcers, avoid unnecessary procedures, be a voice to our patients and physicians, and explore other possibilities of treatments of ulcers.

According to Youngblut and Brooten (2001) “Evidence-based practice (EBD) provides opportunities for nursing care to be more individualized, more effective, streamlined, and dynamic, and to maximize effects of clinical judgment.” Evidence based practices are the latest advances and knowledge developments, not supporting existing practices. In addition, it includes nurses being active and taking part in the clinical data and application of evidence.  In my opinion, applying EBD in practice will increase the value and reputation of nurses.  One way nurses can promote evidence based research is to be an “opinion leader” (Flodgren , Parmelli , Doumit , Gattellari , O’Brien , Grimshaw , Eccles 2011).

Assume you are a suspect and are made to appear in a police lineup.  You are suspected of a sexual assault allegedly committed by “a Hispanic who was about 5 feet 8, wore jeans, and spoke with an accent.”  You are Hispanic, about 5 feet 10, and one of three Hispanics of similar height in the lineup.  All three of you speak with an accent; all three of you are wearing jeans.  You are identified by the victim after you were made to repeat the statement “I will kill you if you shout.”

Were your constitutional rights violated, and if so, what specific right(s)?  Support your answer.

English world literature discussion post questions-due november 6, 2016 before 11;59 pm

Question 1

In The Odyssey, we noted plenty of cases of the gods directly influencing human affairs.  In Antigone, however, those influences are merely guessed at.  How does the role of the gods in this play differ from The Odyssey?

Question 2

Antigone is both admirable and troubling as a heroine, and despite characters’ statements to the contrary, she reveals the power and influence that women in the Greek culture held. Ismene attempts to caution her sister’s brash plan by advising, “Remember, we’re women. How can we fight men. They’re stronger. We must accept these things–and worse to come.” Despite this, however, Antigone defies Kreon, and through her actions she gains the sympathy of the populace, her sisters, and many others. Yet, as a direct result of her actions, other characters also kill themselves.  So is her determination and independence admirable, or is her action ultimately one of self-destruction?

Question 3

What should we make of Ismene’s change-of-mind in the play?  Is it similar to or different from Kreon’s change of mind?

Question 4

You must watch the posted video to answer this question.  Please bring in direct points from the professor in your answer.

Dr. Honig argues that for this to be a true tragedy, we have to see equal weight to his side of the story.  In what ways is Kreon a tyrant, and in what ways is he simply attempting to follow what is best for his state?  Does he have a right to be hard-headed on the point of burial?

Question 5

This question also requires details from the posted lecture…

Late 20th century political movements–from Civil Rights to the feminist movement to gay rights–has centered on the political idea that the personal is political.  Antigone, as Dr. Honig suggests, works the same way.  In what ways does the personal become political for Antigone?  Do you think she wants her family situation to become political? Is there any way someone can separate the two out?

Question 6

What is the role of the Chorus in the play? What attitude do they seem to have toward Antigone?  Does that attitude change?

2023 Exercise can reduce the risk of various health issues in middle age

Exercise can reduce the risk of various health issues in middle age 2023

Exercise can reduce the risk of various health issues in middle age adults; according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC, 2015), benefits of physical activity include reducing the risk of cardiovascular disease, type two diabetes, and cancers as well as help improving mental health, mood, and ability to perform activities of daily living. According to an article, “Middle-Aged Adults Behind on Prevention,” by the American Society on Aging (ASA, 2013) found that 25,000 to 40,000 deaths per year among Americans younger than age 65 could be prevented if these individuals would quit smoking, lose weight, exercise routinely, eat healthily, and use of recommended clinical preventive services. This article further found that 44% of middle age adults are reported having high blood pressure and 33% were obese, which maintaining a healthy lifestyle and physical activity are critical keys to healthy aging (ASA, 2013).

Next, according to the World Health Organization (WHO, 2017), physical activity such as walking, dancing, gardening, hiking, swimming, walking, cycling, household chores, or game sports, are benefits in improving cardiorespiratory and muscular fitness and bone health in adults aged 18-64; however, an adjustment is needed for each individual based on their capacity and specific health risks or limitations.  To incorporate exercise and physical health into my clients, I would use the nursing process to assess the client’s understanding about his or her current health, current or chronic illness, and knowledge about health promotion, in order to create and effective individual care plan. Lastly, the approach to use to gain cooperation from my clients would be, for examples, using teach back method to determine the client’s understanding and/or encourage the clients to keep journal of their physical activities and to bring it in at the next follow-up appointment.
